MRS. JANE G. TWITT of 110 Allen st., East Syracuse, died yesterday at home following a month's illness. A native of Troy, she lived in East Syracuse 18 years. Mrs. Twitt was president of the auxiliary of Arthur Butler post, American Legion; past matron of Onondaga Chapter 144, OES; past chairman of the Red Cross district of East Syracuse; a member of Bethlehem White Shrine 2, the Red Cross canteen, the Grey Ladies at Memorial hospital and the Rector's aid of Emmanuel Episcopal church, East Syracuse. Survivors are her husband, Frank Twitt, and a nephew, James Pardo of Norfolk, Va. A Gold Star mother, her son, PFC Lansing J. Fonda, died of wounds in 1944 in England. Private prayer services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the home, followed by rites at 2 p.m. in Emmanuel Episcopal church, the Rev. Melvin Abson, rector, officiating.
