She came with her parents to Jefferson County, Kansas about 1867 where she has since resided with the exception of twelve years spent in California.
She was married to Chris Arnold in 1880. He and 3 children have preceded her in death.
In her early youth she united with the First Day Advent Church in the Lowry district. She lived in the Christian faith the rest of her life. Having expressed her faith and willingness to go when called, a few days before her death.
She leaves to mourn her going 2 sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Weaver and Mrs. Eliza Bledsoe of Ozawkie, 4 brothers, Dave Stuart of Ozawkie, Daily Stuart of Burlingame, Kan., George Stuart of St. Joseph, MO., and James Stuart of Lawrence, Kansas, besides other relatives and friends.
It may be truly said that a good, kind neighbor and friend has gone to her reward.
