April 30, 1887
DIED
Jesse Baxter, who has been a citizen for a number of years, and who has made his
home for a number of years south of the city a few miles, died last evening at
eight o'clock, and was buried at Holloway Cemetery, this afternoon at four
o'clock. He had reached his allotted three score years and ten, and had always
proven a kind and indulgent father and husband and a good citizen. Peace to his
ashes.
