Ada was born May 5, 1929, in St. Louis County, MO, to the late Edward and Mabel Mauck Davis. She graduated from Owensville High School in Owensville.
On March 29, 1947, Ada married Robert E. Ewing in Madisonville, KY, and he survives.
Ada enjoyed watching birds and reading historical biographies. She was also an avid sports fan, following the Indiana Pacers; Chicago Cubs, White Sox, and Blackhawks; and Purdue sports.
Surviving along with her husband is a son, Phil Ewing, of Nashville, TN; a daughter Jill Howell (husband Dave), of Lafayette; a sister, Sonja Russell (husband Marvin), of Evansville; a granddaughter, Lisa Howell; and a grandson Brian Howell.
Ada was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Isamae, Marjorie and Mary Jane.
Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. on May 17, 2012, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette.
The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Ronn Oren officiating.
Burial will follow at Meadow View Cemetery.
