Lewis Henry Crosier, born 24 March 1858 in Milo Township, Delaware County, Iowa, died 9 January 1941, (82yr 9mo 16da) in Hazel Green Township and was buried in Upper Bay Cemetery, Milo Township, Delaware County, Iowa. On 9 October 1895 in Manchester, Delaware, Iowa, he married Carrie Hartman.
Lewis H. Crosier spent his entire life in the Bay Neighborhood having been born on the old home place near the Bay Church. His boyhood was spent there. He built his home in which he lived and died. When he married he brought his bride there. He was the last of the pioneer Crosier family that settled and helped build the Bay Settlement. "Uncle Lew" as he was lovingly called was a loyal friend and neighbour, always ready with a kind word and friendly handshake.
