Funeral For Mrs. Philpot Here Sunday
Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Philpot, who died in Houston Saturday, were held at Seydler Funeral Chapel Sunday at 3 p.m.
Survivors are one son, Joe Philpot of Houston three sisters, Mrs F. w. Warns of McQueney, Mrs. Alvin Bartels of Yoakum, and four brothers, Henry Miller of McQueney, Herbert of Houston, Ed of Gonzales and Lewis of Smiley, Mrs. POhilpot born on March 3, 1884, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Miller.
Pallbearers for the services were George McMeans, Henry Miller Jr. George McMeans Jr., Harvey English, Hugh Ramsey.

Mrs. Minnie Philpot
A dark shadow was cast over the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Philpot when our Heavenly Father called Mrs. Minnie Philpot of Houston to that heavenly home. She was loved by all who knew her. Her friendly disposition will be missed by her family and friends.
Mrs. Philpots was a church. She was born in lifelong member of the Methodist church. She was born in Cistern, Texas, Fayette county, March 3, 1885, dying at the age of 60 years and five months. She lived in Gonzales county practically all her life, excepting for the past few years when she lived with her son, Joe Philpot of Houston.
About two months ago, when her health failed, she was taken to the hospital in Houston and passed away on Friday, August 3, 1945.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Miller of Gonzales, Texas. Mrs. Philpot is survived by her son, Joe Wesley Philpot and one grandson of Houston; three sisters, Mrs. Alvin Barthel of Yoakum, Mrs. Anna Warns of Seguin, Mrs. Bettie Carlile of Waco; six brothers, Emil and Willie Miller of Schulenburg, Herman Miller of Houston, Louis Miller of Smiley, Henry Miller of Seguin and Eddie Miller of Gonzales.
Her husband, Thomas Philpot of Gonzales, preceded her in death some years ago.
Funeral services were in Gonzales, Sunday, August _____ at Seydler Funeral Home, interment was in the City Cemetery.
