She was born in Massena on Jan. 28, 1910, daughter of Sheridan and Mae Richard Alden.
She was graduated from Massena High School and the Syracuse University School of Nursing. She married Silas Curtis of Brasher on June 29, 1931 in Potsdam. She was a member of the Brasher Falls United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star Brasher chapter 666.
Surviving are her husband, Silas; a son, John, Minoa, N.Y.; two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Joan) Tanner, Winthrop; and Mrs. Gary (Ann) Ploof, Ilion; a brother, Albert Alden, Massena Center; a sister, Mrs. Helen A. Roach, Winthrop; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
