CONFIDENCE— Debra Lee Frisk, 61, of Confidence, died May 12, 2012, at Legacy Lodge in Chariton. She was born May 7, 1951 in Des Moines, the daughter of Harold and Joann Knapp. She grew up in Des Moines and attended Hoover High School, graduate class of 1969.
She was first united in marriage to Dick Peterson . They were later divorced. Then on March 18,1988 she was united in marriage to Steve Frisk. Deb worked at Johnston High School as secretary to the athletic director before retiring in 2007. After retiring Steve and Deb moved to the Rathbun Lake area, where her work ethic and love of children compelled her to seek a position as the school secretary at Lincoln elementary in Centerville . She loved her job and the people there very much. Deb also volunteered her summers at the Seymour senior meal site , where she had a whole group of what she called her Seymour friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; and her nephew Brian Knapp.
Deb is survived by her husband Steve Frisk , children and grandchildren. her brother Bob Knapp of Des Moines, and sister-in-laws Kathy Lanham [Larry] , Barb Knapp and Pam Hanshaw [Larry] all of Des Moines. Numerous nieces and nephews will all share fond memories of their Aunt Deb.
A memorial service of her life will be held at Randolph Funeral Home in Corydon on May 18, 2012 at 1:30
A private graveside service for family only will follow the memorial. Deb was greatly loved by everyone she shared her life with and will be much missed.
