A memorial service for Aletha Viola Cantrall is scheduled at 3 p.m. Friday at Conger-Morris Central Point Chapel.
Mrs. Cantrall, 88, of Medford, died Sunday (April 3, 1988).

She was born Aletha Viola Johnson, Oct. 9, 1899, in Ashland.
On June 19, 1919, in Medford, she married John L. Cantrall, who died in 1930.
A lifetime resident of the Rogue Valley, she was a telephone operator in White City and chief operator of the Jacksonville and Merrill offices.
She was a member of the Emblem Club, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Telephone Pioneer Association.
Survivors include two daughters, five granddaughters; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
