Ellen Larson Carlson (79) was the daughter of Lovisa Andersdotter Carl August Larson who lived in Sweden and emigrated to Clinton Big Stone County, Minnesota. She met and married John Wilhelm Carlson while living in Big Stone County in Clinton, MN. John Carlson was the son of Nils Carlsson and Bengta Martensen, of Skane Lan, Vollsjo, Sweden.
Ellen and John came from Big Stone County, MN to Burke County and homesteaded in 1908. In 1921 they moved to Bowbells.
John and Ellen had ten children:
