Geraldine "Geri" M. Flynn, 93, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 3, 2012. She was born in Fargo, North Dakota on April 19, 1919.

Geraldine was a parishoner of Madonna del Sasso Catholic Church of Salinas, and was a member of YLI Ignatius No. 85, the Catholic Daughters, I.C.F. Pope John Branch No. 200, and of the Legion of Mary.

She spent the early part of her life in Fargo helping her family by working in various jobs throughout her younger years. She received her most challenging and rewarding job as guardian and parent to her two young nieces. She then married and lost her first husband, Russell Flynn, while in her 30's. She was given the opportunity to move to California with her nieces and marry her first husband's brother, Harold Flynn. She moved to Salinas in 1957.

Geri was a bookkeeper for Harold with several grocery stores he owned and operated. After the sale of the last store, she continued to work for various community organizations such as the Meals on Wheels Program here in Salinas. She never had an unkind word for anyone and would give what she could to those in need. Her mind was as sharp as could be even in her last hours. She will be greatly missed and always remembered.

Geri was preceded in death by her three sisters, Muriel Billman, Virginia Swanson, and Beverly Berg; her first husband, Russell Flynn; second husband, Harold Flynn and her daughter, Patricia Seablom.

She is survived by her brother, Douglas Legler of Fargo, ND; her daughter, Marilyn (Gerry) Wagner of Los Olivos; her grandson, Jeff (Jennifer) Sjoblom and her great-grandchildren, Hailey and Cole of Salinas.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 5 to 9 p.m., with a Rosary Vigil at 7 p.m., all at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Road, Salinas, CA 93905.

Private Graveside services with Interment will be held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas, CA 93907.
