Claude Leslie Hawkins, 94, of Glendale passed away on February 28, 2006. He was born on February 19, 1912 in Marble, Arkansas, the son of Owen and Rose Mae (Smith) Hawkins. He had lived in Glendale since 1976 and was a retired carpenter. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Winnie; and his son, Donald Gene Hawkins. Survivors include his children, Jerryl Dean, Leroy, Joe, and Naoma; his brothers, Fay Franklin Hawkins and and Owen Hawkins, Jr.; sixteen grandchildren; thirty six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his second wife, Lydia; seven step-children; thirteen step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Camelback Community Church. Interment will be in Resthaven Park Cemetery.
