Mr. Rossow, a resident of New Braunfels, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002, aged 89 years, 9 months, and 15 days.

He was born in Cost in Gonzales County on April 21, 1912, to Emil and Elisa Wiechring Rossow.

On Oct. 15, 1959, he married Albina Jansky in Karnes City. She died June 5, 1982 in Karnes County, Texas.

Mr. Rossow was a retired farmer and rancher in the Peggy area, a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Karnes City and was involved in many church activities, a member of the Sons of Hermann and a past Farmers Co-op Gin and Elevator Board of Directors member who lived most of his life in the Peggy and Lenz communities.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 8, in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Karnes City with the Rev. Dr. Jon R. Bigsby officiating.

Interment followed in the Karnes City Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and one sister.

Survived by a stepson, a stepdaughter, a sister, 10 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Building Fund.
