Rev. Charles A. DesRoeiera offiiciated at a requiem mass Monday morning at Faust Holy Name Church for William Amell, 64, who succumbed to pulmonary tuberculosis Saturday at his home at 106 Washington street, Faust. Interment was in Holy Name Cemetery. Mr. Amell had been in poor health for nearly 15 years and bad been unable to work for more than two years preceding his death. He passed away about 1: 30 O'clock Saturday morning. Born In 1880 at Redford, N. Y., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Amell. Mr. Amell worked for some years for a coal dealer in Fitchburg, Mass., where he was married. He came to Tupper Lake as a young man and spent the greater part of his life working in and about this village. He resided at his Washington street home for the past 13 years Surviving are his widow, Mrs. William Amell; his mother, Mrs. Margaret Amell, Faust; one daughter, Mrs. Florence Pilon; two sons. Homer and Alfred; four brothers, Lester, Wesley and Charles, Tupper Lake, and John Amell of Cold Brook, N. Y.; and two sisters, Mrs. Charles LaBarge and Mrs. Isabel LaBarge of Faust.
