Born Jan. 31, 1952, in Lewistown, the son of Paul (Sara) DICKSON and Kathryn ECKHARD (Greory) Baker, Richard P. "Rick" Dickson, 59, of Ferguson Valley Road, McVeytown, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, surrounded by his family.

A graduate of Lewistown Area High School, he was employed at International Peripheral Systems in Lewistown for the past 30 years. He was a member of the Spring Run Church of the Brethren in McVeytown. Rick had a passion for dirt track racing since his teens and shared that passion with his sons, brother and nephew. He will be missed by many in the racing circle.

Rick was "Pap" to 12 grandchildren: Logan, Jade, Ashly, Tess, Chelsey, Damon, Sara, Kaden, Garrett, Taylor, Blane and Aiden. He is survived by his wife, Linda L. MUMPER Dickson, whom he married Feb. 23, 1979. Also surviving are: four sons, Brad (Meliss)Dickson of Yeagertown, Shawn (Jennifer) Miller of McVeytown, Adam (Diane) Dickson of Lewistown, and Wade Dickson and companion, Bethany Smith, of McVeytown; and a brother, Kenneth (Doris) Dickson of McVeytown.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Gregory A. Baker 1939 - 2000.

Interment: Spring Run Brethren Cemetery.
