Mrs. Adkinson was 83 years of age at the time of her death and had been in poor health for some time.
The body was brought to Concordia, Kansas and taken to the home of W. A. Fish on East Ninth street and funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the United Brethren church, at 4:45 o'clock. Rev. Ralph Holt conducted the service and burial was made in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Adkinson, whose maiden name was Mary Jane ????Smith???, was born in Vevay, Ind., April 1, 1849, and made her home in this vicinity for many years. At the death of her husband, Rollin Adkinson, several years ago, she went to Conway Springs to live with her daughter.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Elva MeGregor of Conway Springs, and Mrs. Frank Duff of Concordia, and by one son, Earl Adkinson, who resides south of Concordia.
