Mrs. David Yates
FROSTBURG - Mrs. Margaret S. Yates, 72, died last night at her
home, 54 McCulloh Street, following an illness of a year.
Born in Frostburg, she was a daughter of late Henry O. and Sarah
Davis Stevens and widow of David Yates. Mrs. Yates was a member
of Welsh Memorial Baptist Church and Rebecca Arnold Chapter,
Order of the Eastern Star, Mt. Savage.
Surviving are two sons, Chester Yates, Vale Summit and David Yates,
Clarysville, four daughters, Mrs. Leona Bootman and Mrs. Ethel
McCarty, both of Cumberland, Mrs. Thelma Morton, Lonaconing, and
Mrs. Gladys Klosterman, Grahamtown, five brothers, Lloyd Stevens,
Crisfield, Charles Stevens, Cypress, Texas, Walter Stevens, Baltimore,
and James and Benjamin Stevens, both of Frostburg, four sisters,
Mrs. Ruth Creegan, Cumberland, Mrs. Leona Moomaw, Crisfield, Mrs.
Annie Truly, Frostburg, and Mrs. Verda Brittle, Clearwater, Florida,
10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Durst Funeral Home, where friends will be received
today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

FROSTBURG- Services for Mrs. Margaret S. Yates, 72, who died
Wednesday at her home, 54 McCulloh Street, will be conducted
tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Durst Funeral Home, by Rev. Kenneth
Blanton. Intermant will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
