Mrs. J. M. Warner [sic]
Eliza Ann Wornom, daughter of Rev. Charles H. Wornom and Jane Gilmore [sic] Wornom, was born in 1885 [sic] at Kirkwood, Warren county, Ill., and died at her home in Beaver City, Saturday, Sept. 7, 1946 at the age of 90 years, 10 months and 27 days.
She was the 11th child of a family of 14 which now has one surviving member, Mrs. Grace Watson of Demopolis, Ala. At an early age she came to live with her sister near Lincoln where she resided until 1884.
She was married to G.M. Warner on Nov. 5 1884 and to this union four children were born.
For three years they lived near Lincoln, from there moving to Haigler, Dundy County, Neb., where they resided until 1889 when they moved to the ranch near Hendley, Neb., which later became known as the Warner ranch. In 1903, they moved to Violet, Pawnee county, Neb., where they resided until 1907 when they moved to Beaver City where they have made their home since.
Mrs. Warner was received into membership of the Beaver City Methodist church on Oct. 17, 1907. She was awarded a life membership to the Beaver City Woman's Society of Christian service on May 4, 1944.
She is survived by her husband, G.M. Warner and four children, L.G. Warner, Mrs. Gladys Humrich and Ralph Warner of Beaver City and Mrs. Flora Stevens of McCook; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Beaver Creek Methodist church Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 10 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. T.E. Smith and Rev. Carl B. Rayburn of Beaver Creek and Rev. C.H. Prouty of McCook, in charge.
Interment was made in the Mount Hope cemetery.
