Robert Ulmond Bearden March 9, 1933-June 7, 2010 Robert Ulmond Bearden, 77, of Gurley died Monday at a local hospital. Mr. Bearden retired from the Huntsville City Fire Department after 32 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Betty Bearden; daughter, Deborah Ann Bearden; son, Brian Hopkins and wife Michelle; Granddaughter, Ashleigh Hopkins; Grandson, Austin Hopkins; Step-sons, Donnie Berry and wife Kelly, Doug Berry and wife Kyu, Steve Berry and wife Mary, Jamie Berry and wife Tessa, and Chuck Berry and wife Pam; Step-daughter, Katrina Lovill and husband Blake; sister Dorothy Cross; 18 step-grandchildren; 9 step-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, where the family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-8PM. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1PM at Spry Chapel with Sam Wolfe and Charles Miller officiating. Interment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery.
