James Newton Click. 75, well-known retired State Highway employee of Briery Branch died suddenly Monday morning at 3:30 a.m. at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Glick with whom had been making his home.

Mr. Click had been in failing health several years but his death was unexpected.

A son of John A. And Margaret Caricofe Click, he was born Feb. 11, 1885 at Mt. Clinton. He was a lifelong member of the Church of the Brethren, He worked for the State Highway for 22 years

On May 20, 1916, he married Elsie Hilbert, who survives along with sons; Wilmer G. Click, Dayton RFD, Raymond M. Click, Dayton RFD, Earl F. Click, Bridgewater RFD, and Carl E. Click, Bridgewater; also one brother, Minor M. Click, Dayton RFD and 8 grandchildren

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren with his pastor, the Rev. Phillip Zinn officiating, assisted by Rev. W Owen Horton Interment will be in church cemetery.

Pallbearers will Arlie Click, Boyd Click, Gordon Hilbert, Otho Zimmerman, Minor Zimmerman and Aubrey Shickel.

Flower bearers will be Mrs. Frances Heishman, Mrs. Aubrey Boyd Click, Mrs. Gordon Hilbert, Mrs. Minor Zimmerman and Mrs. Otho Zimmerman.

The body is at the W L Rosenberger Funeral Home in Bridgewater where it will remain until one o’clock Wednesday when it will be taken to the church.

Relatives meet at the Funeral Horne Wednesday at two for a brief service.
