LUTHER RAYMOND ALLENDER
Mr. Allender, 87, of 106 Locust Street, Williamsburg, died at 11:56 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 1986, in Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring, following a brief illness.
Mr. Allender retired as a shipping clerk from Westvaco, Williamsburg plant, in May 1963. He was born April 5, 1898, in Williamsburg, the son of Charles R. and Laura (Beaver) Allender, and July 12, 1928, in Altoona, married Sadie M. Isenberg.
Surviving are his wife, four children: Mary Jane and Charles L. of Williamsburg, James M. of Canton, Ga., and Edgar N. of Indiana RD 3; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Mr. Allender was a former member of the Williamsburg Presbyterian Church and a former member and catcher of the Blair County Baseball League.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Bolger-Friedline Funeral Home, Williamsburg.
ALLENDER — Services for Luther Allender of 108 Locust St., Williamsburg, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Bolger-Friedline Inc. Funeral Home, Williamsburg, by the Rev. Milford Dolby. Interment In Royer Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
