In 1929 they returned to the United States and lived in Washington, D.C. until 1931 when they moved to Madison, Wisconsin, where Dr. Hobson joined the staff at the University of Wisconsin, as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Agriculture Economics. Mrs. Hobson was a member of Chapter V P.E.O. and Daughters of Demeter. Dr. Hobson retired from the University in 1953 and in 1959 the Hobsons moved to Little Norway, Blue Mounds, Wisconsin, where they led an active life as owners and managers of this pioneer museum. Mrs. Hobson was a sister of Isak Dahle, founder of Little Norway. She was preceded in death by a son, Dr. Merk Hobson, former Executive Vice President at the University of Nebraska. She is survived by her husband, Asher Hobson; a daughter, Marcelaine Winner; a son-in-law, Atty. John D. Winner; a daughter-in-law, Jane G. Hobson, all of Madison; five grandsons; and three great-grandsons. Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of Mt. Horeb Evangelical Lutheran Church on Saturday, November 8. Reverend Bill Redman will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Horeb Cemetery.
