W. A. Dame Dies Following Major Operation
William A. Dame, 73, 4143 Lake Ave., solicitor for the past year and one–half for the Star–Beacon, died at noon today at General Hospital following a major operation. He is survived by his wife and two sons, William E. Dame, North Ridge East, and Harry Dame, Kittanning, Pa. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Ducro’s Chapel.

Funeral Set Sunday for William Dame
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Ducro’s Funeral Chapel for William A. Dame, 73, who died Friday at General Hospital. Rev. Wilbur Closterhouse of the East Side Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be Monday in Edgewood Cemetery. Mr. Dame, who was 73 years of age, died following an illness of a week at General Hospital where he underwent a major operation. He was born, Jan. 3, 1870, in Attica Mich., coming here in 1931. While in Attica, he was superintendent of building construction for 40 years. For more than a year he was employed as a solicitor for the Star Beacon. Survivors include his wife, Grace, two sons, William E. Dame, Ashtabula, and Harry Dame, Kittanning Pa.; three grandchildren, to brothers, Mack Dame, Washington D.C., and Roy Dame, Nashville, Tenn.; three sisters, Mrs. Seth Hodges Dryden, Mich; Mrs. Guy Crandall, Saginaw Mich., and Mrs. Leva Walton, Oxford, Mich.

William Angus Dame, aged 73 years & 12 days, of 4143 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula County, Ohio, died on Friday January 15, 1943 at Ashtabula General Hospital. Mr. Dame who was Solicitor for the Ashtabula Star Beacon for the past one and a half years and Superintendent of Building construction contracting is survived by his wife Grace. He was born January 3, 1870 in Attica, Lapeer County, Michigan the son of Angus Dame and Elizabeth Townsend. Funeral arrangements were made by the John T. Ducro Funeral Home of Ashtabula. Burial was made on Monday January 18, 1943 in Edgewood Cemetery, Ashtabula, Ohio. Information was provided b Wm. E. Dame of Ashtabula.
