Oshkosh Northwestern, Mon. Jan. 8, 1973, p. 26. Jacob A. Otto, 77, of 796 Highway GG East, died today at 3:35 a.m. at Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Sherwood on Jan. 27, 1895, and was married in Dotyville, Wis., to Theresa Loehr on Sept. 23, 1919. Mr. Otto owned and operated the J.A. Otto Cheese Co., Town of Vinland, for 47 years. He was an Army veteran of World War I, and was a member of the Neenah American Legion Post. He also was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and Wisconsin Cheesemakers Association. Surviving are his widow, Theresa; two sons, Merlin (Dick) Otto and Raymond Otto, Oshkosh; two daughters, Mrs. Gilbert (Genevieve) Brantmeier, Oshkosh and Miss Alice Otto, Neenah; four brothers, Theodore Otto, Fond du Lac, Albert and Harold Otto, Appleton, and Edward Otto, Menasha, five sisters, Mrs. Anna Rank and Mrs. Lucy Derfus, Kimberly; Mrs. Rose Schydzik and Mrs. Alois Wolf, Kaukauna, and Sister Mary Concilio, Oshkosh; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Fiss & Bills Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-9 p.m. Prayer service Tuesday will be at 7:30 p.m.
