Roff — SHORTIE BRATCHER

ROFF — Services for Shortie Bratcher, 98, Roff, are 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Community Free Will Baptist Church, Pickett, officiated by the Revs. John Henry Lippard and David Sutton. Burial follows at McGee Cemetery, Stratford.

Mr. Bratcher died April 19, 2012, at Ada. He was born June 21, 1913, in Stratford to Thomas Harrison and Alice Victoria Edwards Bratcher.

He was married to Vera Hunt Oct. 27, 1936, in Sulphur.

He worked as a custodian at Roff Schools for many years. He lived most of his life in the Roff, Vanoss and Stratford, areas. He was a member of Pickett Community Free Will Baptist Church where he served as the oldest deacon in the church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Vera, seven brothers, four sisters, a son and a great-grandchild.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Mary Ann Bratcher, Roff; three daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Eugene Wood, Mead, Norma and Larry Weatherman, Wylie, Texas; Sandra and Steve Jantz, Yukon; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren

Bearers are Mr. Bratcher's grandsons.
