Co., California directory as a farmer. His daughter, Phebe, and family visited him in San Lucas and lived in the area for a time in the 1890's. The Monterey Great Register of Voters for 1896 lists him as a resident of San Lucas (this was May, 1896), just before he was killed..The registration record includes a personal description. Abraham W. Lehew was a farmer, age 65, 5' 10" tall, light complexion, blue eyes, gray hair, with a scar at the corner of his right eye."
