of Abraham Lincoln, will be buried today in the Todd lot in Lexington
cemetery. The last surviving child of Confederate General and Mrs Ben
Hardin Helm, she died Thursday in Geneva, NY, while visiting relatives.
Mrs Lewis was 95. Her mother was Emilie Todd Helf, a half sister of
Mrs Lincoln. The widow of Walter Lewis, a Scott county farmer and horse
breeder, Mrs Lewis made her home for many years at the Helm Place, a 162
year old mansion on Elkhorn Creek outside Lexington. She was a grand-
daughter of John L Helm, a 19th century Kentucky governor.
