ARCHIE WICKHAM DIES AT GRAYLING HOSPITAL
Funeral services were held at Houghton lake in the large "Brown Thrush" log cabin. Rev. Wheeler of Sunfield conducted the services. Two daughters of Dr. A. S. Sturge, Mrs. Lois Kinney and Mrs. Arthella McDonald sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Does Jesus Care".
Mr. Wickham died April 9 at Grayling hospital of a throat infection after an illness of nine days. He was born July 12, 1896 in Ogden township, Lenawee county, Michigan. January 10, 1916, he married Hazel Dennis of Tobacco township, Gladwin county. On October 6, 1934, he married Audrey Sharp Kolbrunner of Mt. Pleasant.
Surviving him are his wife and four sons, Archie David, 7 months old, William Joseph, Kenneth Linton and Max Albert, his father, William C. Wickham of Houghton Lake, two brothers, John C. and Albert R., four sisters, Mrs. P. Parkinson, Belleville, Mrs. Ruie Roback, Miss May Wickham and Mrs. Russell Zavitz, all of Houghton lake.
