She was the last of nine children. Marg was a loving homemaker, who enjoyed being on the water, watching old westerns (especially with Gene Autry), and going out with friends.
Mrs. Firth was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Edward O. Firth; and her parents, David Willis and Sarah Margaret Holloway.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra L. Newton and husband, Lee, and Kimberly F. Messick and husband, Thomas; grandchildren, Paul Messick, Scott Messick, and Corrie Dorsett and husband, Scott.
A funeral service will be 2 p.m. today, at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Hampton, by the Rev. Bert Rait. At other times the family will be at Marg's home.
A special thank you to Marg's caregivers, Shirley Rabon, Flo Burt, Billy Hogge, and C. J. Miles, for their loving care during her extended illness.
