Jeremiah Norcross was born in Rindge, NH, April 25, 1814, the son of Capt. Daniel and Polly (Jones) Norcross. He married, October 8, 1839, Mary Pillsbury, the daughter of Rev. Levi and Mary (Pickard) Pillsbury of Winchendon, MA. In 1864 he was chosen a deacon of the Congregational Church and was an officer of that church for many years. Jeremiah and Mary had seven children. He died August 29, 1884, aged 72 years.
