Richard J. Younger of Commerce City, a retired farmer, died Sunday in Denver. He was 87. A service will be held at 10 a.m. today
at Our Lady Mother of the Church in Commerce City. Interment will be Elmwood Cemetery. Younger was born June 8, 1908, in Ellis, Kan. On Feb. 26, 1930, he married Elizabeth Bollig in Brighton. They were married for 54 years. He is survived by four sons, Robert, Commerce City, John, Parker, Theodore, Brighton, and James, Fleming; five daughters, Dorothy White, Westminster, Joan Dreiling, Brighton, Deloris Babcock, Thornton, Arleen Paiva, Commerce City, and Rosalie Younger, Denver; two brothers, Fred and Bernard Younger; four sisters, Minnie Waldsmith, Eleanor Saxton, Agnes Fercus and
Virginia Younger; 28 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. Denver Post, 12/28/1995
