Died, Mr. Charles Curd, Friday night, Oct. 9, of typhoid fever. Mr. Curd had been sick only one week, but owing to his age and other ailments, the fever was too much for his strength. His family were all summoned on Thursday. All arrived to the bedside of their dying father except O. Curd, of Washington. There are Mrs. Curd, three daughters, Mrs. S. Thelk, Mrs. A. Johnson and Miss Effie; two brothers, Mr. O. and John Curd, to mourn the loss of a dear husband and father. The funeral was held at the house on Sunday, 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. Wharton. Interment was made in Cedardale cemetery. (Iola Register 10-17-1903)
