Ernest B. Crawford, 73, of 715 S. Division, died unexpectedly Friday. A member of the Church of Christ and an elder of the church at Lee and Walnut, he came to Sapulpa in 1942 and retired from the Gulf Oil Co. in 1961. He later was employed by the City of Sapulpa.
He was born in Tompkinsville, Ky., March 1, 1901.
Survivors are his widow Eula of the home; six daughters, Mrs. Ernestine Rhodes, Odessa, Tex.; Mrs. Jaunell Moses, Wichita, Kan.; Mrs. Billie Richardson, Seminole; Mrs. Cleo Pensoneau, Shawnee; Mrs. Jeanette Mitchell, Wichita, Kan., and Mrs. Virginia Burrus, Sapulpa; two sons, L. Ray Crawford, Houston, and Howard Crawford, Brandon, Fla.
Also three brothers, Forest, Frank and John Crawford; one sister, Mrs. Laura Beene; 26 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Church of Christ with Sidney Ellis officiating. Interment will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens under direction of Smith Funeral Home.
