Herald Coaster, January 21, 1960:

Frank H. Charanza, 49, of Needville, died suddenly January 16 at his home in Needville. He came to Needville in 1952 from Wharton County.

Mr. Charanza is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rosie Charanza of Needville; four sons, Simon, Paul, Frankie, and Edward of Needville; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Ann Hurta of Richmond and Mrs. Lille Mae Witek of Needville; four grandchildren; parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Charanza of Caldwell; one brother, Raymond Charanza of Houston; four sisters, Mrs. Sylvester Gold of Houston, Mrs. Oscar Hovadik of Houston, Mrs. Charlie Supak of Caldwell, and Mrs. Edwin Graeter of Caldwell.

Pallbearers: Matt Mensik, Ed Macha, Frank Jurca, Billy York, William (Bill) Raska, and Ervin Blase.

Funeral services were held Monday at the St. Michael's Catholic Church, with burial at the St. Michael's Cemetery with Rev. Gilbert Pekar officiating.
