Elvin Thomas

   MURPHYSBORO — Elvin Edward Thomas, 70, of 300 N. 7th St. died at 11:18 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, 1989, in Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
   Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Pettett Funeral Home, with burial in Hiller Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and until 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
   Mr. Thomas was a retired construction worker.
   He was a Pentecostal.
   He was born April 7, 1919, in Carterville to George and Viola (Reeves) Thomas.
   Survivors include five daughters, one sister, a close friend, 17 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
   Two sons, one daughter, two sisters and one grandchild preceded him in death.
