Mrs Rex (Hilma Alice Halford) Murray, 70, of Herrick died 4:40 a.m. Monday (March 8, 1982) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Wallace & Carroll Funeral Home, Herrick, with visitation 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Myers Cemetery, Herrick. Memorials: Herrick First United Methodist Church.
Mrs Murray was born in Fayette County, daughter of Walter E and Ella Halford. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Herrick Chapter Order of Eastern Star 863. She married Rex Murray. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are her son, Walter of Peoria; daughters, Barbara Burrus of Decatur; Beverly Beck of Mount Auburn; brother, Hoyt of Edwardsville; sisters, Esther Hoffman of Mahomet; Mrs Leonard (Vera) Hoffman of Ramsey; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. One brother preceded her in death.
