David Blacksher Hamilton Perdue was born 16 Oct 1846 in Houston County, Georgia, USA to James A Perdue and Sarah Hall of Georgia, who wed 3 Jul 1838.

30 Mar 1871 David married Sarah 'Sallie' Matilda Barnes 1848 – 1881. David and Sallie had many children together, but sadly many died very young or at birth. After the birth of their last baby daughter, Sallie died when their baby girl Maude was one week old.

To make matters worse the infant girl Maude died approximately one month later. They are buried in the same cemetery.

Other children were but not limited to...

David Thurston Perdue 1872 – 1940
Theodocia Maud Perdue 1874 – 1877
Blacksher Murry Perdue 1876 – 1878
Beulah Rebecca Perdue 1878 – 1959
Maude Perdue 1881 – 1881
Also worth noting that Sallie and Maude and many others grave/headstones were damaged by logging in the region.

In Nov 17 1881 David married Easter Dicie Clark in Terrell County Georgia. At this time it looks as though they had 12 children...

John Malcome Perdue 1882 – 1951
William Richard Perdue 1884 – 1952
James Walter Perdue 1886 – 1888
Homer Woodson Perdue 1889 – 1925
Mitchel Lafayette Perdue 1891 – 1971
George Dennis Perdue 1894 – 1917
Aaren (Iron) Hilliard Perdue 1897 – 1965
Orris Perdue 1898 –
Arris Clinton (Big Boy) Perdue 1899 – 1912
Darris Benton (Doll) Perdue 1899 – 1972
Lelia Arien Perdue 1901 – 1959
Reba Britton Perdue 1903 – 1999
(again more to be documented later)
