Herman M Hoffman, 85, of 2100 Smith St, died at 5 pm yesterday at his residence.
Born in Monroeville, Mr Hoffman was a resident of Fort wayne 60 years and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He retired 10 years ago from the General Telephone Co after 40 years' service.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs Helen Waterman, Chicago, Mrs Dorothy Hanson, Fort Wayne, and Mrs Hertha Morgan, Garrett; four sons, Ted D Hoffman, Winter Haven, Fla, AZ Hoffman, Fort Wayne; Paul Hoffman, Greensburg, and William Hoffman, Fort Wayne; two brothers, Fred, Monroeville, and Eli, Maples; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 pm Friday in Klaehn Funeral Home, Rev Charles Seevers officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
