Inga McHarg. Services are being held today for Colonel Inga McHarg, who, with her husband, spent six years in charge of all Salvation Army activities in Northern California and Nevada. She died last Wednesday at a nursing home in Hayward, California. Colonel McHarg had been a member of the Salvation Army for 60 years. She and her husband, Colonel William McHarg, retired in 1977 They had worked together in posts throughout the West since their marriage in 1927. In their last years as senior administrators, they were stationed at the Citadel, Salvation Army headquarters at 95 McCoppin Street in San Francisco. Services were to be held at 10 a.m. today at the Citadel. She leaves her husband in San Francisco, and a son, Lt. Col. William K. McHarg, currently In charge of all Salvation Army activities, principally earthquake relief and rebuilding in Mexico City.
