James W. Harris, resident of Santa Clara, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Thursday, March 31st 2011 He was 80 years old. Jim was born and raised in San Francisco on November 16th, 1930. He joined the army in 1950 and served in the Korean war. He met his wife Stella in 1956 and together they raised 4 children. Jim worked for the US Postal Service in Santa Clara for 30 years. Jim was an avid sports fan who never missed a 49er or Giants game! He coached little league for many years and loved to attend his grandchildren's sporting events. Always the life of the party, Jim's jokes and stories will be dearly missed. Jim is survived by his wife of 55 years Stella, his two sons Ken and Ed, his two daughters Nancy (Jim) and Susie (Ralph) and his 7 granchildren Tyler, Jesse, Marcus, Darius, Carson, Alea and Theo. A service will be held at St. Justin Catholic Church on Saturday, April 9th at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to CMTA 2700 Chestnut St. Chester, PA. 19013 cmtausa.org or Parkinson.org.
