Alice Virginia "Pud" Miller Spalding, 68 of Louisville passed away on Monday March 26, 2012.

She was born to the late Grover Cleveland and Agnes Benita Nevitt Miller in New Hope, Kentucky. She lived in Louisville all of her adult life, where she and her husband, the late Joseph Thurman Spalding, raised their 6 children. She was a Catholic by faith, a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Louisville.

In addition to her Parents, and her husband Thurman, Alice was preceded in death by (2) brothers, Carroll and Ronnie Miller, and (1) sister, Martha Miller Brown.

Alice is survived by, (4) Sons; Hugh (Ruth) Spalding, St. Louis, MO., Bryan Spalding, Dallas TX, Jerry Spalding, Lexington KY, and Carroll Spalding, Louisville KY. (2) Daughters; Cathy Rosenfeld, and Chris Knoerr both of Louisville KY and (11) Grandchildren.

(7) Brothers; Charles K. "Butch" Miller, Louisville, Paul M. "Sarto" Miller, New Haven, Samuel L. "Sam" Miller, Bardstown, Donald E. "Cat" Miller, Elizabethtown, Grover C. "Bo" Miller, New Haven, Francis E. "Dean" Miller, Howardstown, and Terry L. "Ted" Miller, Louisville. (1) sister;

Benita Kay Greenwell, New Haven. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church, in Howardstown on Friday March 30, 2012 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Scott Wimsett and Rev. Ken Fortener officiating. Burial will be in the St. Ann Cemetery in Howardstown.

Visitation for Alice Spalding will be Thursday 3:00 – 8:00 pm at the Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, KY, and Friday at 10:00 am till the time of the service at the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Howardstown.
