According to her passport application, filled out in 1918, she was born in Washington, Washington Co., PA. In 1900 and 1910, she was living with her parents in Rumley Township, Harrison Co., OH. Her father was an oil driller and contractor, so they lived in a number of places while she was growing up, including Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.
In her passport application she stated she was a stenographer, living in Pittsburgh, and that she wanted the passport to travel to France and do canteen work for the overseas services of the YMCA. Her father's obituary stated she was still living at home when he died in 1939.
Sometime after 1939 she moved to the Los Angeles area, where she died.
