Dorothy M. Landrum, 94, Martinsville, went to be with the Lord,Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Owen Valley Health Campus in Spencer,Indiana.
She was born in Martinsville on December 26, 1917 to the late CW "Buck" and Anna (Kriner) Payton.
She married Merrill Landrum on December 9, 1939 in Dolan and he passed away on April 8, 1999.
Dorothy was a graduate of Martinsville High School. She was a member of the Wesleyan Church where she taught Sunday School and Bible School. She also attended the First Church of The Nazarene. She loved to sew and spend time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Carol Styer of Gosport; son, William Landrum and wife Linda of Gosport; sisters, Juanita Martin of Boerne, Texas, Helen Keith of Corpus Christi, Texas, and JoAnn Cecil of Martinsville; brother, Larry Payton of Indianapolis; grandsons, Jason Landrum and Jon Perkins and wife Amey; granddaughters, Jennifer Landrum and Melissa Miracle and husband Mike; 15 step grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, David Landrum; sister, Vivian Payton; brother, Junior Payton; son-in-law, John Styer.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at New South Park Cemetery with Rev. Evie Stuard officiating.
