Mary Manning was born in Kentucky and moved to Minnesota at an early age with her grandfather, Enoch Manning.
Mary had 11 children with Arthur Durwood Manning and lived in Cass County, MN for most of her life. She lived in a rural home and was there until her very senior years. Her son, Clifford Durwood (also known as Richard Earl Durand/Brown) lived with her for many years.
She moved to a senior living home and resided there with her daughter-in-law Susan Durham Brown. They were reported to have gotten along well together.
