William Roe Hutson, 79, of Rockford went to his heavenly home Tuesday, March 20, 2012, surrounded by his family. Born May 9, 1932, in Calico Rock, Ark., son of John and Effie (Smithee) Hutson. Veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army. Married Joan T. Borgen. Employed by Hamilton Sundstrand for 31 years, retiring in 1981. Member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Roe enjoyed his monthly poker games. Avid Mark Martin fan. He enjoyed the Chana Sale Barn, auctions and going to Johnny Pamcakes for breakfast.

Survivors include wife; two sons;
Five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by parents; brothers, Ralph and Roy Hutson; and sister, Ruth Palmer. Service at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 24, in Redeemer Lutheran Church, 827 16th St., Rockford. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 23, in Delehanty Funeral Home Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, and from 9 a.m. Saturday to service time, in the church.
