FORT WORTH - Evalyn H. Shackleford, 89, a retired secretary, died Thursday, March 9, 2000, in Fort Worth.
Graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday in Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel.
Evalyn Shackleford was born Sept. 2, 1910, in Kaufman County. She was a Fort Worth resident for more than 60 years. She was a member of West Berry Church of Christ, volunteering in many capacities for the church. SHe was also active for many years as a volunteer for the Girl Scouts. She was a secretary for various companies in the Fort Worth area before her retirement. Evalyn was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Shackleford in August 1996.
