son of john campbell and nancy ann cribb. This John Campbell was a Methodist circuit rider ordained in Charleston, SC. He left South Carolina and traveled to Georgia, Alabama and ended up in what is now Amite, Mississippi. He had the following children: John C.Campbell Jr. 1806-1880,William Campbell 1807-1880, Charles Wesley Campbell 1810-, Lorenzo Dow Campbell 1816-1852,Miles Davis Campbell 1812-, and Robert Fletcher Campbell 1822-1858(my G. Grandfather), as noted in will which states his date of death and filed in Amite, Mississippi in October 1826 and list all his children. He is buried in the John Campbell family graveyard in Marion County, South Carolina, USA.
