DJ ~ short for Donald Jr ~ was preparing to go on his first mission trip with the youth group at Northwest Baptist Church and was in the process of raising funds. Whether it was the church sponsored carwash or asking neighbors for little odd jobs to earn money ~ DJ was excited to be involved in this church activity.
DJ was an 8th grade student at Kleb Middle School and loved to play basketball, ride his bike, and was even mastering the art of skateboarding. A likeable guy, he enjoyed hanging out with neighbors and friends.
At the time of his death, DJ was survived by his mother ~ Lynn Ann, father ~ Donald Sr, sisters ~ Latisha and April, a nephew, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
While family is in posession of DJ's ashes, a portion of his ashes were scattered in Scotland ~ his maternal grandmother's home country.

This memorial was graciously transferred to me on Feb 26, 2020 without my asking. I gladly accepted the 'gift' and have added quite a bit about the life of DJ to the original bio provided by Julie Barousse (thank you!)
DJ was a neighbor who ~ along with his sisters ~ spent part of his childhood at my family's house playing on our trampoline. He was such a gentleman and well-likeable young man. He and his beautiful smile are missed! - Daughter of Grace
