Huston Chapman Mason was the oldest child of Aaron Waller Mason, prominent businessman of Union County, and Lucy Allen Chapman Mason. Mr. Mason and his first wife, Kate Soaper Sneed, had one daughter Kate Sneed Mason. Huston Mason remarried following the death of his wife. Susan Bell Rives Dixon Mason was Mr. Mason's second wife. They lived in Chicago, where Mr. Mason was a broker in stocks. Mr. Mason remained in Chicago for a number of years following the death of Susan Dixon Mason in 1918. He eventually moved to Florida, where he died tragically after a fall from a bridge in Miami.
