Pfc. Edward J. Ganson, Co. I., 302nd Inf. Reg., 94th Inf. Div., killed in action near Lorient, France, Sept. 23, 1944, son of Mary Louise [Merchant],b 1884 d 1971, and the late Ned Ganson, b 1868 d 1938, brother of June Ganson Harris. Resting at funeral home, 203 S. Marion street (Wisconsin Av.), Oak Park, after 10 p.m., Saturday. Services Saturday, July 17, at 1 p.m. Burial Rosehill.
Awarded Purple Heart.
